1. Receipt templates
Receipt templates tell the system how to read the information on a receipt when a customer scans it to earn points (OCR).
In the Admin dashboard, go to Loyalty → Invoice scanning → Invoice setting.
Click Add template.
Enter a Template name so you can recognise it, and keep Enable this template on.
⚠️ Keep your template configuration confidential. If customers learn the field names and required keywords, they could edit or fake receipts that pass the checks. Never share template contents on social media, fan pages or in customer support chats.
Sample receipt image
Take a photo of a receipt or choose one from your library. After uploading, the system runs OCR and shows the text it recognised, which you use to configure the fields. Use a sample with the same layout as your real receipts for better accuracy.
Field configuration
Configure the 2 main fields:
Order ID: identifies the receipt/order number. Each Order ID can only earn points once, preventing duplicate scans.
Amount: the receipt total, used to calculate points.
When you select a field, the system shows the OCR results to pick from. You can also type a keyword manually – e.g. if the order number always follows "No.:", enter that keyword so the system picks up the right value.
Amount format
Vietnam: dot as thousands separator, e.g. 100.000đ.
International: comma as thousands separator, e.g. 100,000.
Ignore separators: use when OCR often misreads dots or commas; only the digits are kept.
Advanced configuration
Address: the OCR field with the address, to identify which shop the receipt belongs to.
Receipt date: the date field, to know when the transaction happened.
Receipt number resets periodically: use when receipt numbers repeat monthly or yearly; the system then checks receipt number + date for duplicates.
Required keywords: confirm the receipt matches your store's format. Enter several keywords and combine conditions to block invalid receipts. You can use ";", ":" and "/" in required fields to separate and filter conditions.
Click Create to save. When a customer scans a receipt on the E-Shop, the system matches it against your enabled templates and uses the right one to read the Order ID, Amount and other details.
2. Scan activity
Activity tracks each receipt scan, the recognition results and processing status.
Go to Loyalty → Invoice scanning → Activity.
The list shows: receipt image, receipt code, total, receipt date, fraud score, status, template used and upload date. Receipt scan status summarises total scans and success rate over 30 days.
Filter by result, status, invoice ID or date.
Receipt details
Click a receipt to open its details: original image, recognised receipt code and total, receipt and upload dates, template used, the member's points status, fraud score and alert status, and the member who scanned.
Handling receipts that need review
For flagged receipts, points may be held and not yet added. Review the receipt and choose:
Edit & add points: OCR misread the code or total – correct it, then add points.
Add points: the OCR result is correct and the receipt is valid.
Reject: the receipt is invalid and earns no points.
3. Fraud alerts
Fraud alerts detect suspicious scans, hold the points and wait for you to review before points are added.
Go to Loyalty → Invoice scanning → Fraud alerts.
The list shows flagged scans with:
Time: when the alert was raised.
Risk: risk level, e.g. High, Critical.
Type: the fraud signal detected (e.g. repeat offender, old receipt, too many scans per hour).
Description: details of why the receipt was flagged.
Score: fraud risk score.
Status: pending or resolved.
Filter by status, risk level, type and date. Click Configure to turn fraud alert mode on and set the rules.
Resolve an alert
Click an alert to see its type and risk level, fraud score, fraud indicators, receipt code, amount, receipt date, member ID, the uploaded receipt image and the member's alert history. Add a review note and choose:
Release points (Valid): the receipt is valid – held points are added.
Edit & add points: valid, but the OCR code or total needs correcting first.
Reject (Fraud): invalid or fraudulent – no points are added.
Reviewing alerts stops receipts being reused or the points program being abused.
4. How customers scan receipts on the E-Shop
Use this when customers pay through a POS that isn't connected to PEKO, but you still want them to earn points fairly and securely.
A valid receipt must show
Brand / store name.
Receipt number.
Amount paid.
Customer steps
Open the PEKO app (E-Shop / Mini App) and go to Upload receipt to earn points.
Take a photo of, or upload, the paid receipt.
Tap Confirm to record the points.
5. FAQ
Q: Why did a receipt scan fail?
A: There are 3 main reasons:
The system checks brand name, receipt number and amount against your receipt templates (section 1).
Receipts that are blurry or missing information may not earn points or go to review (section 2).
Each receipt earns points only once; suspicious cases go to Fraud alerts (section 3).
Q: My receipts have no receipt number?
A: OCR needs a receipt number field. Contact your POS software provider to add it.
Q: I can't add a receipt number – is there another way?
A: Yes. You can use any unique, non-repeating identifier on the receipt instead, so each receipt only earns points once.
Q: How do I limit how old a receipt can be?
A: 2 steps: 1) In the receipt template, open Advanced configuration and add the Date field. 2) In Fraud alerts → Configure, turn on fraud alert mode and set the old-receipt check limit.
