Printers are set up per shop in POS → Printer. Each printer shows its connection (USB device name or LAN IP) and the print actions it handles.
1. USB printer (Android)
Step 1: Go to the Admin dashboard → POS → Printer and choose the shop.
Step 2: Click Add printer and fill in:
Printer name: a name you'll recognise, e.g. "Counter printer".
Provider: your printer model (Bill printer USB). If yours isn't listed, choose Xprinter 80mm (Bill printer USB).
USB device name: must exactly match the printer's device name (see FAQ below to find it).
Print actions: the document types this printer handles – e.g. customer receipt, kitchen ticket, kitchen label, shift reports, wallet top-up/withdrawal slip, payment QR. For kitchen tickets, you can print all items or only selected items.
Click Save.
2. USB printer (Windows)
Step 1: Download the printer driver
Go to https://www.xprintertech.com/drivers-2 and download the driver for your printer. This guide uses the "Barcode product driver" file.
Open the downloaded file and run the .exe to install the Xprinter Driver.
Step 2: Install the printer
Connect your computer to the printer with a USB cable and turn the printer on.
Open the Xprinter Driver you installed.
Choose Port Type: USB and the Printer Model (rename the printer if needed).
Continue until installation is complete.
Your computer now has the USB printer, with the name you set under Printer Name.
Step 3: Share the printer so the POS (Windows) can use it
Go to Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners (Windows 11) and click the USB printer you just connected.
Note: the path to Printers may differ depending on your Windows version.
Choose Printer properties → Sharing → Share this printer, then copy the Share name.
Step 4: Add the printer in the Admin dashboard
Go to the Admin dashboard → POS → Printer and choose the shop. Click Add printer and fill in the fields as in section 1 – use the Share name as the USB device name. Click Save.
3. USB label printer
Go to the Admin dashboard → POS → Printer and choose the shop.
Click Add printer: enter a name, choose Xprinter 50mm (Label printer USB), enter the exact USB device name, and tick Kitchen label under print actions.
Click Save.
Label printers connect by USB only, not LAN.
4. LAN printer
LAN printers connect to the POS over your local network (same Wi-Fi/router as the POS). The printer needs a fixed IP address first (see FAQ below).
Go to the Admin dashboard → POS → Printer and choose the shop.
Click Add printer.
Printer name: e.g. "Counter printer", "Kitchen printer".
Provider (required): choose a model marked (Bill printer LAN), e.g. Xprinter 80mm, HPRT 57mm, Sewoo 80mm, Richta 80mm, Datamax 80mm.
IP address (required): the printer's IP, e.g. 192.168.1.xxx.
Tick the print actions this printer handles: customer receipt, kitchen ticket, kitchen label, shift summary report, shift report by product group, shift report by discount, wallet top-up/withdrawal slip, payment QR.
Click Save.
LAN printers don't need a device name. If the POS can't print, check that the printer and POS are on the same network and the printer's IP matches the one you entered.
5. Check printers on the POS
After adding printers in the Admin dashboard, open the POS app → Menu (☰) → Settings → Printers:
Each printer shows its device type, device name (or IP for LAN) and cash drawer connection.
The Action - Template column shows which documents it prints (e.g. sales receipt, kitchen label, payment QR). Tap Preview to see the template.
Tap Test print to print a test slip. If it doesn't print, check the USB cable/LAN, the device name or IP address.
6. FAQ
How do I find a USB printer's device name?
Connect the printer directly to the device. On the POS app, open General settings and find the device name under USB Devices (Android).
How do I set a printer's IP address using a smartphone?
If you can't set the printer IP on a computer with the vendor software (unsupported OS, software errors…), you can do it on a smartphone.
Requirement: the phone and printer must be on the same Wi-Fi/LAN network.
Step 1: Connect the printer to the Wi-Fi router
Plug a network cable from the router into the printer's LAN port. Both lights on the printer's network port should be on.
Step 2: Get the printer's default IP
Turn the printer off.
Press and hold FEED.
While holding FEED, turn the printer on.
Keep holding for about 5–10 seconds, then release.
The printer prints its configuration. Find the IP Address line – that's the default IP.
Step 3: Set a temporary static IP on your phone
Open Wi-Fi settings.
Select the connected Wi-Fi network.
Under Configure IP, choose Manual.
Enter an IP based on the printer's default IP.
Keep the first parts of the IP and only change the last number to a value between 101 and 253 (200–235 recommended).
Tap Save.
Step 4: Switch the printer to automatic IP (DHCP)
Open Chrome on your phone and enter the printer's default IP in the address bar. In the printer's admin page:
Choose Configuration.
Choose DHCP Client.
Tap Save.
Tap Restart.
If successful, the printer beeps after restarting.
Step 5: Set your phone back to automatic IP
Open Wi-Fi settings again.
Select the connected Wi-Fi network.
Under Configure IP, switch from Manual to Automatic (DHCP).
Save.
Step 6: Get the printer's new IP
Repeat Step 2 (turn off, hold FEED, turn on, hold 5–10 seconds, release). In the new configuration printout, the IP Address line shows the IP the router assigned.
Step 7: Fix the printer's IP
In Chrome, enter the new IP from Step 6. In the printer's admin page:
Choose Configuration.
Choose Fixed IP Address.
Tap Save.
Tap Restart.
If successful, the printer beeps after restarting.
Done
Now enter the printer's IP in the Admin dashboard as described in section 4 (LAN printer).
