What is POS?

POS stands for "Point of Sale" – the place where a sale happens, such as a shop or a chain of shops. As sales-management solutions have evolved, a "POS machine" also refers to the device that runs checkout software and prints receipts, as seen in supermarkets, restaurants and cafés.

Every outlet needs a way to record daily transactions: a notebook, an Excel file or a cash-register system. POS software helps owners keep tight control of stock and cash, reduce losses, and lets customers shop and pay quickly and professionally.

LOOP Smart POS (LOOP POS) is counter sales software connected to the PEKO admin dashboard: orders, menu, members, points and reports are all synced.

Q2: What support does LOOP provide if the hardware breaks? All LOOP Smart POS hardware comes with a 12-month warranty. During the warranty period, LOOP will repair or replace hardware if there's a problem.

Q3: Can LOOP Smart POS manage multiple shops from one account? Yes. LOOP POS supports multiple shops, so chain owners can manage all outlets with a single account.

Q4: Can the software calculate cost and profit? LOOP POS includes inventory management: buy ingredients/items from different suppliers, transfer stock between shops, and track stock in, stock out and on hand – so you can see cost of goods, profit and revenue reports.

Q5: Does inventory record purchases day by day? Yes. LOOP's inventory management records purchases by day and by shop.

Q7: Does LOOP POS work on handheld POS terminals? Not yet – LOOP POS doesn't currently support handheld POS terminals.
