POS settings: service types, order rules, payments, waiting tickets, delivery and video

Control how LOOP POS works: service types, order rules, payment methods, pay later, waiting tickets, delivery partners and intro video.

Summary

The POS settings page (titled "General") controls how the LOOP POS app behaves and looks, for the whole brand or per shop. The left menu has 7 groups; the number next to each (e.g. 1/3) shows options turned on / total options. Use Search settings to find an option quickly.

Where to find it

Admin dashboard → POS → POS settings.

1. Service types

Turn on the service types the POS can create orders for: Dine in, Take away, Delivery. Drag ≡ to change the order shown on the POS. If a type is off, the POS can't create orders for it.

  • Allow selling below stock: keep selling even when an ingredient or item is out of stock.

  • Require a note: the cashier must type a reason for actions that need one.

  • Round the bill: round the total to the nearest thousand when printing (VND only). E.g. 112,400 → 112,000; 112,500 → 113,000. Bills of 1,000 or less stay as they are. 🇻🇳 Vietnam only.

3. Payment methods

  1. Turn methods on or off (e.g. Cash, MoMo, VNPay, ZaloPay, ShopeePay, OnePay, Other, Credit, Bank transfer – depending on your country). Some methods need a configuration value ("Please enter a value").

  2. Click + Custom methods to add your own (e.g. "Paper voucher", "Company card").

  3. Turn on Configure per shop if each shop uses a different list; when off, the whole brand shares one list.

4. Pay later

Pay later

Take the order and serve first, then collect payment when the guest is done – like running a tab and settling on the way out. Choose which service types (Dine in, Take away, Delivery) can pay later. Turn on Configure per shop to let each shop choose.

5. Waiting tickets

Choose the service types (Dine in, Take away, Delivery) that skip printing/creating a waiting ticket. The POS doesn't print waiting tickets for the selected types. Can be configured per shop.

6. Delivery partners

Turn on the delivery partners used on the POS: Ahamove, Grab Express, Lalamove, In-house delivery. 🇻🇳 Vietnam only (third-party partners).

7. Intro video

The video shown on the POS's customer-facing second screen. Click Change video to upload a new one or Delete video; preview the cashier and customer views.

Notes

  • After changing settings, sync or restart the POS app to apply them.

  • Turn off "Allow selling below stock" if you want the POS to block sales when out of stock (requires Inventory and recipes).

FAQ

Q: The POS has no Delivery button?
A: Turn on Delivery under Service types.

Q: How do I add my own payment method?
A: Payment methods → + Custom methods.

Q: Dine-in customers want to pay when they leave?
A: Turn on Pay later for Dine in at that shop.

Q: The total is rounded differently from the actual amount?
A: Round the bill is on under Order rules – turn it off if you don't want rounding.
